With more than 20 years of food service management and leadership experience, Rubin understands the systems behind successful operations—from menu planning and production to staffing, food safety, cost control, and consistent service.
For Rubin, hospitality is about more than serving a meal. It means taking care of people, making them feel welcome, and creating experiences centered around good food, genuine service, and the connections that happen around the table.
A North Carolina native with more than 28 years of culinary experience, Rubin built his career across catering, banquets, healthcare, high-volume feeding, and professional food service management. His love of Southern cooking is also deeply rooted in family. Nyna’s Events & Catering was named in honor of his grandmother, Nyna, whose influence is part of the story behind Rubin’s passion for food, hospitality, and bringing people together around the table.

Throughout his career, Rubin has paired that personal connection to food with the operational experience required to manage menus, production, staffing, food costs, safety, and service. From intimate catered gatherings to preparing hundreds of meals in high-volume food service environments, he has learned that good food and good service always begin with caring about the people being fed.
